Dear Parents, Teachers, Administrators and Community Members,

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about an initiative I created for my students within the Technology Academy at Landstown High School. If your schedule permits, I would love to include you as one of the approximately 100 volunteers who will contribute to this activity.

The Digital Portfolio Interview Project is a year-long initiative that interconnects the entire sophomore honors English curriculum within the Landstown Technology Academy. Each of these 97 students has compiled individualized, confidential work samples that correspond to six assignments saved to a secure server. You and other members from the local community will preview each digital portfolio and meet with the student responsible for its creation in a formal Portfolio Panel Interview on May 27-30, 2008. This interaction will provide Academy students with valuable workplace experience as well as an opportunity to reflect on their development as readers, writers, thinkers, and communicators throughout this academic year.

At your leisure, I invite you to peruse the following links that will help you understand the details behind the Digital Portfolio Interview Project as well as the nature of your potential commitment.

Thank you again for your interest. If you would like to participate in this initiative, please click on the button below this text.
