Welcome to my website. I have created this space to present my past academic and professional work, and career objectives. I am currently nearing completion of my doctoral work at Old Dominion University and eager to begin my career in academe.

The pages of my website detail my research, teaching, professional, and service experience so I will take this opportunity to describe myself on a more personal note.

I was born and raised in Sacramento (a fifth generation “Sacramentan”) and, having grown up so close to California’s beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains, I am an avid hiker. I also enjoy running and while living in France I trained for and completed (just barely!) the Paris Marathon. I met my Canadian husband, Amos, while backpacking in the Swiss Alps. After 10 years together, we recently had a beautiful baby boy, Ansel. We are passionate about traveling and have visited numerous countries in Asia, North America, and Europe.

Thank you for taking the time to visit. I look forward to hearing from you.

Kindest regards,
Katherine M. Fodchuk, M.A., A.B.D.
